The American Association of Retired Persons
AARP is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association dedicated to shaping and enriching the experience of aging for their members and for all Americans. Founded in 1958 by retired educator Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus, it is the nation's largest organization of midlife and older persons, with more than 30 million members.
Membership is open to anyone age 50 or older, whether working or retired. Members receive Modern Maturity, a full-color bi-monthly magazine and the monthly AARP Bulletin.
AARP has four primary areas of expertise and proven success: information and education; community service; legislative, judicial, and consumer advocacy, and member services.
The company believes that the association can help SeniorDriver.com gain access to its members for course registration and will offer the AARP free banner advertising as well as engage in other activities of mutual benefit.
The American Automobile Association
The American Automobile Association, through its state bodies, services most of America’s drivers. State AAAs offer road condition information, insurance information, and operate travel and other agencies.
As the most recognized national body for car travel, SeniorDriver.com will partner with the organization to serve a specific segment of AAA member needs and develop useful joint approaches to insurance, driver training, and mutual support.
Insurance Companies
SeniorDriver.com will approach AON Risk Services Inc. of Southern California, which is the second largest insurance brokerage and consulting organization in the world with 44,000 employees worldwide.
AON has offered assistance in course accreditation, gaining insurance carrier acceptance, developing a distribution network among other insurance carriers, and assistance in technical areas with AARP and other strategic partners.
